Mission Statement
“Educating the Next Generation of Animal Law Attorneys”
The Center for Animal Law Studies (CALS) is the umbrella organization and home to the Animal Law Program and activities at Lewis & Clark Law School. It is an academic and scholarly endeavor dedicated to:

Training future leaders for careers in animal law and public policy;

Conducting high-quality, independent legal research that advances the field of animal law;

Developing innovative recommendations and legal strategies relating to animal law within administrative, legislative, litigation and other settings; and
-
Creating a scholarly environment where all students feel included and respected.

- Student Animal Legal Defense Fund
- Summer Intensive Animal Law Program
