Venue

Lodging

  • Visit UCLA School of Law’s Hotel/Motel Directory. 
  • The UCLA Animal Law Society has very generously offered to host any competitors looking for minimal accommodations. They are a small group, but they relay that they have several futons, air mattresses and the like available for competitors in need. If interested, please contact the UCLA Animal Law Society at uclaals@lawnet.ucla.edu.
  • Hotel Palomar Los Angeles - Westwood
We have reserved a room block at the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles - Westwood for NALC competitors and coaches. The Hotel Palomar is a artsy, eco-chic, Kimpton Hotel which is located a few blocks from Westwood Village and a short drive from the UCLA Law campus. Our group rate is $179/night plus 14.065% tax for single or double occupancy rooms. To reserve a room, please call the hotel directly at: (800) 472-8556 and request the “National Animal Law Competitions” group block to receive our special rate. Reservations must be made by January 24, 2012 in order to receive the group rate.

All deluxe rooms include either two double beds or one king-sized bed, complimentary in-room wireless internet for Kimpton InTouch members (membership is free) complimentary morning newspaper, complimentary morning coffee and tea bar in the hotel lobby, LCD flat-screen TV, iHome docking station with alarm clock, honor bar with gourmet and organic options, and a hosted evening wine hour in the hotel’s living room lobby. Valet parking is available for $33/day.
  • UCLA Guest House
We have also reserved a room block at the UCLA Guest House. The UCLA Guest House is located behind the School of Law on the beautiful UCLA campus. The 61-room hotel is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen with their updated rooms February 1, 2012. Our group rate is $148/night plus taxes for a room with one queen bed, or $153/night plus taxes for a room with one queen bed and a kitchenette or one queen bed and one twin bed. There is an additional $5 charge for each additional guest or each additional rollaway bed. To reserve a room, please call the hotel at: (310) 206-3751 and ask for the “National Animal Law Competitions - Group #121810” group block. Reservations must be made by January 24, 2012 in order to receive the group rate. Rooms may be available after this date if space permits.

All reservations include free wireless internet access, free local calls, cable TV, radio with CD player, business desk, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, and complimentary continental breakfast. On-site parking is free, but limited. If the hotel parking is full, the Guest House sells parking passes for the closest UCLA lot for $11/day.
