2011-2012 Annual Report

NCVLI’s Annual Report, published each fall, is an opportunity to learn more about our work to help individual crime victims move toward becoming survivors, and to establish legal precedent so that tomorrow’s victims benefit from today’s efforts.  We thank our amazing community of survivors, attorneys, advocates, volunteers, and donors who stand behind our vision of a balanced and fair justice system.

Here are a few of our accomplishments from the past year:

  • We filed 16 amicus curiae briefs in 12 jurisdictions, including the United States Supreme Court, by joining forces with more than 50 co-amici.
  • Our legal team responded to more than 100 legal technical assistance requests from attorneys, advocates, judges, and legislatures from across the country.
  • We trained over 1600 individuals, including 6 webinars that reached 170 people.
  • Volunteers donated more than 1,900 hours to NCVLI, totaling more than $55,200 in value. Volunteer involvement has increased 52% from last year.
