Civil Procedure I
Description
Civil Procedure is a year-long course on the basic doctrines – derived from the Constitution, federal statutes, and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure – that guide a case through the federal judicial system. The course addresses the constitutional foundations of the adversary system, rules of jurisdiction and preclusion, and the path of a civil dispute from pleadings, through motions, discovery, and settlement, to trial and appeal.
Evaluation by examination.
