    This course will focus on an analysis of the United States Supreme Court’s jurisprudence in the environmental area. Students will be encouraged to examine how either the Court as a whole or individual members of the Court have examined a variety of environmental issues. Additionally, we will consider such topics as whether there is any pattern as to the types of environmental cases that the Court decides to hear, and whether the Court treats environmental issues any differently than the lower courts.

    Each student will be required to write a paper and to lead a class discussion on the subject of that paper.
