Lewis & Clark students: Complete the registration form (.pdf) and mail or fax it to the law school registrar.
Students visiting from other ABA-approved law schools: In addition to completing the registration form, provide a letter of good standing from the law school you are attending. The letter does not have to accompany the registration form but must be received before you will be allowed to matriculate.

If you intend to audit any course, please submit a completed Audit Form (PDF)and mail or fax it to the law school registrar office.
In addition, please include a copy of your completed Housing Form, if you are applying for on-campus summer housing.

Tuition is $1,088.00 per semester hour for law students and auditors who wish to receive a certificate for the class. Tuition is $544.00 per semester hour for noncertificate or alumni auditors, and $272.00 for noncertificate government or nonprofit employees. Financial Aid
Financial aid is available. Students should apply for aid as early as possible in the spring semester. (Special rules apply to the distribution of summer school aid.) Lewis & Clark law students must submit a $50 refundable deposit with their registration; non–Lewis & Clark students and auditors must submit a $150 nonrefundable deposit with their registration. Law Students
Law students must be students in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school. Law Students not currently enrolled at Lewis & Clark Law School must submit the completed Registration Form and a letter of good standing from their law school. Visiting students are encouraged to check to determine if credits transfer with their home institution.
Students currently enrolled at Lewis & Clark Law School need only submit the Registration From. Lewis & Clark law students should consult What's What to determine the number of residency credits earned for summer courses. In particular, please note that a single two-credit class will not give full residency credits. Attorneys and Others
Attorneys and others interested in summer courses may audit a course with consent of the instructor. Auditors who wish to receive a certificate of course completion must pass the final exam. A student may also audit a course without taking the final exam. All auditors should request an audit application from the registrar and submit it with the summer school application. CLE credit may be available for attorneys. Deadlines
It is best to register for summer classes by March 15. However,applications for all courses may be accepted up to the first day of class if space is available. Some summer classes do fill up.
Indian Law Classes: Scholarship and internship applications due by April 20, 2008. Credit and Residency
Except as otherwise noted, five-week long courses earn three semesters hours of credit; the clinic offers four semester ours of credit; and two-week intensives and the six-day field class earn two semester hours.
Residency credit is available on a prorated basis for summer school classes. A three-semester-hour class taken over a minimum of 18 days grants .25 residency credit. The two-hour intensives grant .13 residency credit. The field trip grants .09 residency credit. Residency credit can be added together when classes are taken consecutively but not when taken concurrently. Any student who is uncertain about how the residency credits will affect graduation should consult with the registrar’s office.
