Professional Background

Before attending law school, Ms. Finnerty began her career in the financial services industry at State Street Bank in Boston, MA. After graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law, Ms. Finnerty practiced law in the Corporate, Securities and Finance Group at Stoel Rives LLP, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, securities reporting and compliance, financing transactions and general corporate law. Ms. Finnerty then joined TraderSource, Inc., a start-up company specializing in alternative investment strategies, as Vice President, Business Development. Ms. Finnerty joined Lewis & Clark Law School to launch the Small Business Legal Clinic in 2006. She currently serves as the Executive Director and Senior Clinical Law Professor for the SBLC. Ms. Finnerty also taught as an adjunct professor of business law at Portland State University. Ms. Finnerty is a recipient of one of the Portland Business Journal's prestigious "Forty Under 40" Awards for her professional accomplishment, community involvement, and professional recognition.
