The International Law Society is hosting Dr. Jacinta Ruru, who will give a talk to 1Ls and all interested students in her area of expertise: Indigenous Peoples’ water rights. Dr. Jacinta Ruru is a professor of law at the University of Otago, New Zealand where she teaches and researches Indigenous Peoples’ rights to own, manage and govern land and water. Dr. Ruru is currently traveling in the US as the recipient of the Fulbright Nga Pae o te Maramatanga Senior Maori Scholar Award.
