Law School to Host International Water Law Conference in New Delhi

Realizing the Goal of Water for Life: Lessons from Around the World, an international conference two years in the making, will be held at National Law University in New Delhi, India this May. This is event is part of the Law School’s ongoing relationship with National Law Universities in India.
This conference, originally envisioned by Dean Klonoff and leaders in the Environmental and Global Law Programs, has taken shape around issues of water law, water rights, and water scarcity. Spearheaded by Associate Dean Janice Weis and Assistant Director Lucy Brehm, both from the Environmental Law program, this conference will feature prominent experts not only from the U.S. and India, but from countries across the globe from South Africa to Brazil. Lewis & Clark staff has coordinated closely on this conference with Nawneet Vibhaw, a Professor of Environmental Law at NLUD and an alumnus of our Environmental and Natural Resources LL.M. Program.
