The Public Interest Law Project will host its annual auction at the law school on Saturday, March 12, 2011
The auction is a wonderful opportunity to visit the law school, connect with students and the legal community, enjoy an evening of fine food, drink, and fun, and support the important work of public interest law.
Doors open to alumni at 5:45 for a first look and early bid opportunity on silent auction items. You will need an alumni ticket for early entry. Be sure to register today to receive your ticket in the mail.
Doors open for general admission at 6:00 pm, officially beginning the silent auction.
PILP is one of the largest student-run organizations at the law school. Last year, PILP raised $82,000 and funded 12 summer stipends. Stipends are awarded to students who have been hired by local, national and international public interest organizations who could not otherwise afford to hire law clerks. Over the last 20 years, PILP has provided over 259 stipends to 135 organizations, with projects ranging from assisting refugees in Portland to promoting the preservation and protection of Yellowstone National Park.
