Upcoming WLC Events

April 11, 2011,  from 12 - 1:00 p.m. in the LRC, the WLC is collaborating with the National Crime Victims’ Law Institute in Commemorating National Crime Victims’ Week. As part of National Crime Victims’ Right Week, NCVLI will facilitate a free presentation entitled, “Internet Perils: Cyberstalking, Cyberfraud, and Child Abuse Imagery.”  The presentation will feature a panel of leading crime victims’ rights practitioners discussing the emerging issue of social media and Internet victimization, and some of the unique hurdles currently facing these victims. The presentation will take place at the Lewis & Clark Law School Campus and will also be provided as a real-time webcast for our national audience.  Click here for further information. A reception will follow to thank the NCVLI volunteers.

Next Tuesday, April 12th, our own Associate Dean and Director of Business Law Programs, Lisa LeSage will be speaking about her Fulbright trip to Chile! This event is one of the monthly Queen’s Bench (Portland chapter of the Oregon Women Lawyers) lunch.

The Speaker goes on around 1230 after everyone is settled and has had a bit of time to chat.Local and Oregon wide attorneys come each month to share their experiences in the legal community.

Next month, May 10th, Alisa Blum, of Alisa Blum & Associates, will be speaking on intergenerational communications.
