Law student wins ABA Energy Law Writing Competition

Rob Molinelli’s paper Renewable Energy Development: Surviving the Dormant Commerce Clause,has been selected as the winner of the 2011-2012 Energy Law Student Writing Competition sponsored by the ABA.

Rob Molinelli’s paper Renewable Energy Development: Surviving the Dormant Commerce Clause, has been selected as the winner of the 2011-2012 Energy Law Student Writing Competition sponsored by the ABA Renewable, Alternative & Distributed Energy Resources (RADER) Committee and the Energy & Environmental Markets & Finance (EEMF) Committee.

His paper focused on one aspect of a recent decision by a federal district court in California that struck down California’s low carbon fuel standard under the dormant Commerce Clause. His paper will be published in an upcoming ABA joint energy/environmental/finance law publication this June.

Rob is currently a second year law student and is the 2012-13 Symposium Editor for Environmental Law. He is working towards a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law.
