Oregonians Speak Out Against Coal Exports
7/10/13 - Oregonians spoke out against coal at yesterday’s hearing on a proposal to export coal through the Columbia River Gorge to Asia. Earthrise represents local and national conservation groups in their effort to ensure that the Oregon DEQ does not issue an illegal air pollution permit.

Oregonians spoke out against coal at yesterday’s 12-hour long hearing on Ambre’s proposal to export 8.8 million tons of coal per year through the Columbia River Gorge on to Asia. Earthrise represents local and national conservation groups in their effort to ensure that the Oregon DEQ does not issue an illegal air pollution permit. Written public comments will be accepted until August 12, 2013.
