Meg Sheehan

Meg is a public interest environmental lawyer with over 30 years experience. She worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and as a Staff Attorney at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority on the Boston Harbor cleanup.  She is a graduate of Colgate University and Boston College Law School.

She is a native of Plymouth, Massachusetts and has served on the boards of several environmental organizations including the Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts, the Jones River Watershed Association and The Nature Conservancy/Massachusetts Chapter.

She co-founded several campaigns, including the Watershed Action Alliance of Southeastern Massachusetts, the Taunton River Campaign and Cape Cod Bay Watch.  She has worked on land protection and advocacy representing a wide range of citizen groups throughout the U.S.  Recognition for her work includes the Briggs Leadership Award from the Wildlands Trust and the John O’Connor Grassroots Leadership Award from Clean Water Action. She enjoys rowing, hiking, knitting and spending time with her family.
