Scott Staff ’91 joined Brentwood Associates as managing director, business development, leading the firm’s deal flow generation activities. Prior to joining Brentwood, Staff worked at Perkins Coie, where he served as the firm’s global director of business development for over nine years. Staff also served as vice president for college relations at Lewis & Clark before joining Perkins Coie.

Davina Pujari ’92 was named a Northern California 2013 Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine. Pujari is a partner at Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp. She specializes in internal investigations, criminal defense of environmental and white-collar crimes, and environmental civil litigation.

Truman Stone ’92 left his position as a shareholder in Newberg-based law firm Brown Tarlow Bridges Palmer & Stone to start as Newberg city attorney in October 2013.

The Honorable Cheryl Albrecht ’93 was honored with the Larry K. Amburgey Commitment to Public Interest Law Award at the law school’s annual PILP Auction in 2014. The award was established in 2011 to recognize law graduates who demonstrate long-term commitment to the school’s public interest law program.

Patrick J. Sweeney ’95 won the U.S. Croquet Association 2013 Oregon State championship.

Douglas D. Morris ’96 was elected managing partner at Ater Wynne. Morris’ practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities, and general corporate representation of private and publicly held high-technology and high-growth companies. He chaired the business department from 2009 to 2013.

Kyle Sciuchetti ’96, shareholder in the Portland and Vancouver offices of Bullivant Houser Bailey, was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014. His practice includes contract and lease negotiations, dispute resolution, lien foreclosures, and traditional construction claims.

Mitchell C. Baker ’97 was named managing partner of Fisher & Phillips’ Portland office. With extensive experience enforcing noncompetition agreements, prosecuting Trade Secrets Act violations, defending employers accused of discrimination and retaliation, and representing employers in wage and hour class action cases, Baker has been instrumental in growing the firm’s practice in the region. He is a frequent speaker on labor and employment law matters and is a regular contributor to the Oregon Daily Journal of Commerce. Baker also devotes a considerable amount of time to representing victims of domestic violence through the Legal Aid Services of Oregon.

Jennie L. Bricker ’97 opened Jennie Bricker Law and Mediation. Previously, Bricker was a partner at Stoel Rives, where she practiced natural resources and real estate law for 15 years. Her new practice will focus on mediation of property- and resources-related disputes, real property and general business transactions, and natural resources permitting and regulation. Holly Somers ’97, formerly presiding administrative law judge for Oregon’s Worker’s Compensation Board, was appointed by Governor Kitzhaber and confirmed by the state senate as board chair. As chair, Somers serves as the administrator of the agency and as one of the board’s five full-time members.

Christopher Neumann ’98, shareholder in the environmental law and litigation practice groups of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was reappointed to Colorado Governor Hickenlooper’s Solid and Hazardous Waste Commission. Neumann currently is serving as chair of the commission. His term runs through August 1, 2016.

Heather Guthrie ’99 was named to the 2013 Five-Star Professional List in Estate Planning by Portland Monthly Magazine,the third year she has been so honored. She is a partner with Dunn Carey.

Laura Maffei ’99, shareholder in the Portland office of Northwest regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, received an Outstanding Legal Service Award from the Northwest Pulp & Paper Association (NWPPA). This was the first award presented by the association for providing more than 10 years of outstanding legal service to NWPPA.
