Professor Loren and Alum Sean Clancy Are Helping Oregon Creatives Understand the Law

Professor Lydia Loren and alum Sean Clancy are helping Oregon creatives understand the law.

Lewis & Clark Law Professor Lydia Loren is the president of Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (OVLA), a nonprofit that offers low-cost legal advice for local artists.  The Oregonian recently highlighted the activities of OVLA, specifically their counseling and educational workshops.

“It’s very important in our community to have a thriving art scene,” she (Professor Loren) says, “and part of that thriving art scene is that when legal issues crop up, there should be some place for artists to go and ask questions so they can move forward with their creativity.”
