KTVZ interviews Professor Kaplan about crime lab scandal investigation

In September, Oregon police discovered crime lab evidence in labs in Oregon had been tampered with by at least two analysts working in separate labs. The investigation continues, and thousands of samples from crimes scenes must be reviewed again. In the meantime, Governor Kate Brown has called for a task force to look into the problem and how to prevent further occurrences. Professor Aliza Kaplan, in her work with the Oregon Innocence Project, has responded to several media inquires on the topic, and called for labs to be run independently of the state police.
