Distinguished Honors
February 6, 2016
Alumni, faculty, staff, and honored guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of a select number of extraordinary alumni.
Oregon Governor Kate Brown ’85 and Associate Dean Martha Spence ’84 both received the Distinguished Graduate Award, which we present to alumni whose professional and community achievements have brought distinction to Lewis & Clark. Spence led the group in a sing-along of “You Are My Sunshine” at the conclusion of her acceptance speech, in which she thanked the Lewis & Clark community for her 35-year career at the law school.
Harry Wilson ’07 received the Rising Star Award, which the Recent Graduate Council presents to an individual who has excelled professionally, exhibiting outstanding achievement, entrepreneurship, or leadership within a chosen field.
Ron K. Cheng ’14 received the Community Spirit Award, which the Recent Graduate Council presents to an individual who has demonstrated notable community, public, or humanitarian service outside of his or her profession.
