Melissa Powers Authors Advocate Magazine Feature on the Past and Future of Energy Law

In the Fall 2016 issue of The Advocate magazine, GEI Director Melissa Powers discusses the major transformation occurring in the energy sector and what it means for the future of energy law.

The Fall 2016 issue of The Advocate, Lewis & Clark Law School’s alumni magazine, focuses on energy law. Prof. Melissa Powers, GEI’s director, authored the magazine’s feature article, ”The Past and Future of Energy Law.” Professor Powers discusses the massive transformation facing the energy sector and explains what this transition means for the future of energy law in the United States.

The article also includes several interviews with Lewis & Clark alumni working in the energy law field, including attorneys with Bonneville Power Administration, PacifiCorp, AvanGrid Renewables, Troutman Sanders, and Winston & Strawn LLP.
