Harley Franco ’77, chair and CEO of Harley Marine Services in Seattle, Washington, announced at the annual Spring Luncheon that he was establishing a new business law scholarship at Lewis & Clark.

The announcement came during Franco’s remarks accepting the Distinguished Business Law Graduate Award.

The Harley Franco Scholarship for Business Law will fund a student throughout his or her degree studies at the law school. Priority will be given to a student who, in addition to focusing on business law, also has an interest in environmental law.

“I would like to thank the committee at Lewis & Clark for selecting myself and Harley Marine,” said Franco in his speech. “I hope that I’ve demonstrated those values that are important to inspire other students coming up at Lewis & Clark and other law schools. You can change the world, you can make a difference, just one person at a time, one customer at a time. We want to continue everything we’ve done and take it to the next level.”
