Students help serve meals at Queen’s Bench Potluck in the Park

Queen’s Bench, the Multnomah County Chapter of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS), held it’s annual community service event Potluck in the Park, on Sunday, Oct 23.  Lawyers, judges, and law students volunteered to serve the 500 meals that went to people in need in the city.

Emily Baker, 2L and Queen’s Bench law student board liaison, was responsible for recruiting law school students to volunteer. “Emily is event planner extraordinaire! We had hoped for 40 volunteers, and had to cut off registration at 55,” said Queen’s Bench President Stacie Beckerman. “All of the students showed up, worked hard, and were excellent ambassadors for the law school.”
