Training & Technical Assistance to Build Capacity

Supporting the Wraparound Victim Legal Assistance Networks.

As part of the Wraparound Victim Legal Assistance Networks Project, funded by the federal Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), NCVLI provides training and technical assistance (TTA) provider to ten Legal Assistance Networks across the country. This effort is targeted at attorneys, advocates and allied professionals working with the Networks to enhance holistic legal services for crime victims. Between February and March alone NCVLI will have visited five of the ten Networks!  In addition to in-person TTA, NCVLI hosts webinars accessible to practitioners in all Network jurisdictions. Last month we trained on post-conviction victims’ right and this month we will train on elder law as well as implicit bias in our justice system. This combination of training mediums is ensuring that the Networks are equipped to provide holistic services to victims of crime.  Stay up-to-date on this Project by visiting the Project Page and to stay abreast of future training opportunities visit our Events page.
