Carma Corcoran Gives Guest Lecture on Native American Incarceration

Diversity Dialogues wraps up with lecture about high rates of incarceration among Native American populations - The Beacon, University of Portland

Carma Corcoran, Indian Law Summer School Coordinator at Lewis & Clark Law School, presented her talk, “Native Women in Prison,” hosted by the University of Portland Native American Club. She highlighted the disproportionate rate of incarceration and abuse among Native American women in the US and proposed a path for healing generational trauma in the Native American community.
