Jessup team competes in International rounds!

The Lewis & Clark Jessup International Moot Court team is competing with teams all around the globe in Washington D.C. over spring break!

Updates from ILS VP and Jessup team member Joe Terrenzio:

Arrived Saturday and checked in, this is a big deal, an entire floor of the Capital Hilton is reserved as moot courtrooms.

Sunday - Orientation 105 schools from over 70 nations. Including for the first time Cyprus. Also, two teams from Iraq, and two teams from Afghanistan that survived a suicide bombing at their hotel on the morning of their national championship.

Sunday night - preliminary round pairings announced. We will face off against Loyola University Chicago, University of Texas, the French National Champion, and the Columbia National Champion in the preliminary rounds. Winners are not announced until Wednesday night where the top 24 of 105 teams advance.

Monday - Joe and Dan started things off strong for L&C against Loyola University Chicago today. We won’t get any official results until Wednesday, but gut feelings all around say we won.
