Bridgeport Brewpub

They serve good food, like yummy pizzas and brats, but they also have a lot of healthy and gluten free options, such as a vegan bowl.

Bridgeport is a Brewpub and microbrewery in the North Pearl in what looks like a converted warehouse. The atmosphere was like someone had turned on the lights in a dance club and most but not all of the people had realized they were hungry. There was music and people milling about through the tables with their drinks. Basically, on the bar-to-restaurant scale, it’s more bar. And on the singles hotspot-to-bar scale it’s more singles hotspot. That said it could be different on a weeknight, and I can’t guarantee your success picking up a date but when I was there the air was as charged as a Bennigans in a military town.

They serve good food, like yummy pizzas and brats, but they also have a lot of healthy options and gluten free options, such as a vegan bowl of stuff like quinoa, black beans, kale, tofu, sweet potatoes and lots of other good and delicious ingredients. They also have traditional bar fare like Shepard’s pie and mussels & fries, and sandwiches like The Lindoo 9, which has avocado, cucumber, sauerkraut, melted swiss, and 1000 island dressing on sour rye, and a Pot Roast sandwich made with slow-braised beef, melted swiss, and onion-rosemary-horseradish aioli on a kaiser roll. The (microbrew) beers are great! The service is great! The atmosphere is great! All in all it’s a fun place to hang out with friends, but only two friends unless someone’s treating because they can only split the bill 3 ways.
