Palio Dessert and Espresso House

A good coffee shop with plenty of works space and late hours.

Palio is a great study spot. Tucked away in Ladd’s Addition in the Inner Southeast between Hawthorne and Division, this coffee shop is popular with students and others who just want a good spot to read and do work. There are great big windows to look outside at Ladd’s Addition Park and large, beautiful wooden tables to spread out all your books, study aids and outlines. They serve Stumptown coffee and there are decent food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well if you decide to camp out there the whole day.  Another great thing about this spot is that it is open late! The hours are Monday through Friday 7 am to 11 pm and 8 am to 11 pm on the weekends. As it is quite popular, make sure to come earlier in the day to grab a spot at one of the tables. So if you’re looking for a great coffee shop away from the busyness of Portland, check out Palio and don’t forget to take a study break and explore unique Ladd’s Addition on a walk!
