Victoria E. Cumings
Victoria Cumings is Managing Director – Americas at the Global Foreign Exchange Division (GFXD) of the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA) based in New York City. The GFMA brings together three of the world’s leading financial trade associations (SIFMA, AFME and ASIFMA) to address the increasingly important global regulatory agenda and to promote coordinated advocacy efforts. The GFXD promotes efficiency and international convergence of regulation in the global FX market.
Prior to the GFMA, Ms. Cumings was Executive Director, Head of the New York Legal Department at CLS Bank International, a foreign exchange settlement utility, and before that Associate General Counsel in the Global Banking & Markets group at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc.
Prior to HSBC, Ms. Cumings was an associate in the Derivatives Group at the Corporate Department of Davis Polk and Wardwell, LLP, in New York. She has also worked internationally, spending time in Davis Polk and Wardwell’s London office as well as with McCullough Robertson Lawyers in Australia.
Ms. Cumings bar admissions include the U.S. Supreme Court, State of New York, Federal Court of Australia, High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of Queensland, Australia.
She graduated cum laude from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in 2004.
