UWC attended: Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific (Canada)

It was always my dream to get an education abroad. I remember my mother telling me that someday I would study overseas and learn just how small the world really is.  I never believed it would happen, but then life is unpredictable.

I was born in a small town called Sorong in a fairly large province named Papua in Indonesia. I spent 16 years of my life getting and education and enjoying my childhood.  I went to public schools.  I was in the band and went to National Jamboree.  I also sang and played musical instruments at church

After my sophomore year of high school, I was awarded a scholarship to attend Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific in Canada.  I spent two years in Victoria, British Columbia and earned my International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma there.

In my two years at Lester B. Pearson UWC I learned a lot. Meeting people from different backgrounds was overwhelming at first, but once I got to meet and know my roommates from various countries, it was just awesome.  I also learned about volunteer and community service work at Pearson UWC.  It has become my passion.

My experiences with my many friends at Pearson UWC was very exciting.  We now have strong bonds of friendship that will never be broken.  I cannot express how thankful I am for the chance to study at Lester B. Pearson UWC. It was such a great place to live and to learn while interacting with wonderful people.

In my final year at Lester B. Pearson UWC I decided to go to Lewis & Clark. I am very glad to be here. I chose Lewis & Clark because of its great academics, its support for international students, its beautiful campus, and its strong community service programs.   I am confident that the four years I plan to spend at Lewis & Clark will set me on the right path for the future.

My goals at Lewis & Clark are actually very simple.  Certainly, I want to get a great liberal arts education.  But, I also want to enjoy my time, too.  I hope to get involved in outdoor activities and in music.  I love music.

Finally, I just want to say “thank you” to all of the people who have helped me to study at Lewis & Clark.  My God bless you all!
