This year Shelbi has assisted with legal research and helped educate NCVLI about ways to better serve the community.  NCVLI is proud to present Shelbi Day with the 2014 Pro Bono of the Year Award.

    NCVLI is fighting to ensure restitution for a veteran whose stolen items were of sentimental value rather than market value.

    Fighting for restitution is always challenging, but it is particularly daunting for victims when the property that was stolen or destroyed has tremendous sentimental value but perhaps little or no market value.
