Information Session: Student Opportunities with the U.S. Corps of Engineers

Come learn about opportunities to extern at the two Portland offices of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Portland District and Northwestern Division).  The work in both offices is extremely diverse and students will be exposed to a full array of government legal practice.  A large part of our work focuses on environmental law, federal Indian law, and federal procurement, but there is also plenty of work on issues involving ethics, fiscal law, employment and labor law, general authorities, water supply, Freedom of Information Act, torts, and more!  While much of the work involves legal research, legal writing, and assisting the attorneys in litigation preparation, we also endeavor to bring externs to court and administrative hearings, as well as internal and external meetings.
