Mentor Program 2008-2009

Each year, Career Services coordinates a mentor program designed to provide second, third and fourth year students a bridge between their educational training in school and professional career. The program, co-sponsored by the Law School and Oregon Women Lawyers, offers a unique opportunity to meet and observe practicing attorneys and become involved in the legal community.

If you are interested in participating in the Mentor Program, please complete the Mentor Program Interest Form by Friday, July 31, 2009. If you complete the Interest Form, you will receive additional information via email after August 3rd.

Matching will be done in early fall and, once completed, Libby Davis, Associate Dean for Career Services, will provide you with the name and contact information of your mentor (by early September). At the same time your information will be sent to your new mentor.

In signing up for a mentor, please be sure you have the time to commit to the relationship. Our attorney mentors are very valuable resources, and while we want every student who can make a commitment to have the opportunity to participate in the Program, we want to be sure our mentors are being matched with students who will be ACTIVE participants. Mentors will also be asked to make a similar commitment to the Program.

If you have any questions, please contact Libby Davis at eadavis@lclark.edu or (503) 768-6610.
