Business Law

The business law program hosts a number of annual events that bring business men and women, entrepreneurs, attorneys, CEO’s, faculty, students, and community members to campus. Other events are planned by several of the business law related student organizations. Here is a list of the events planned through the business law program.

Fall Forum

The fall forum brings leading scholars and practitioners together to discuss hot topics in business. Recent topics of the forum have included social corporate responsibility; success and failure in professional sports; and balancing investor protections, the environment, and human rights.

Food Law Forum

This popular event rotates between the Business Law, Environmental Law, and Animal Law departments each year. This year, the forum is organized by the animal law program. The Business Law program will be planning the 2019 Food Law Forum.

Spring Luncheon

Each year the Business Law Spring Luncheon celebrates the accomplishments of our students and gives thanks to the many members of the community who lend their time, resources, and talents to the curricular and extracurricular activities of the Business Law Program. This year as we celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the program, we will honor Ambyr O’Donnell, of the class of  2001, as our Distinguished Business Law Graduate.  The spring luncheon will be held in Portland at the Sentinel Hotel, on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

IP Law Distinguished Visitor

Each year the IP program recognizes a distinguished intellectual property professor or judge by inviting him or her to be an honored guest at Lewis & Clark Law School.
