About Ying Chen
Ying Chen has been practicing intellectual property law in Los Angeles, CA since graduating from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1995. Her current practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications, as well as counseling clients on issues relating to patent infringement and validity. Ying has represented numerous technology companies, both large and small, in cases involving a broad range of technologies, including electronics; computer hardware and software; materials and chemicals; and mechanical devices.
Before co-founding Chen Yoshimura LLP, Ying was a partner at a leading global law firm. She and her partner established their own practice in 2005 to bring their experience and expertise together in an environment that would allow them to provide clients with high quality, dedicated and cost-effective service. They have stayed true to that philosophy.
Ying received her B.S. degree in physics from Peking University, Beijing, China, and her Ph.D. degree in applied physics from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
Ying enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, and other outdoor adventures.
