Professional Background

Mr. Lovvorn is Vice President and Director of Animal Protection Litigation at The Humane Society of the United States. Previously a partner with the public interest firm Meyer & Glitzenstein, Mr. Lovvorn has litigated extensively on behalf of national and local environmental and animal protection organizations. He was also an attorney-adviser at the U.S. Department of the Interior in the Office of the Solicitor where his primary responsibility was to advise on the prosecution of natural resource damage litigation. Mr. Lovvorn has published numerous articles and cases and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and California. He is a Professorial Lecturer in Law (Animal Law) at George Washington University School of Law.
