Summer Session
Registration for Summer 2012
Lewis & Clark students can register online through WebAdvisor as of January 9th through May 28th. After May 28th all adds and drops must be done through the registrar’s office.
If you are applying for on-campus summer housing, please include a copy of your completed Housing Form.
If you are registering for Indian Law Classes, please visit the website for additional information and required application materials.
Students visiting from other ABA-approved law schools. Visitors and auditors can download the registration form. Students can register for a class by submitting the completed registration form and a check for the $150.00 non-refundable deposit. Visiting students must also supply a letter of good standing from the student’s law school prior to the first day of class. Students with no letter of good standing will not be allowed to receive credit for any summer school class. Registration, the deposit, and the letter of good standing can be mailed to the law school registrar office. The address can be found at the “Who to Contact” link, and on the registration form itself. Visiting students should check with their home schools to ensure credits will transfer back to their home institution. Lewis & Clark is an ABA-accredited law school, and the summer classes are eligible for transfer back to ABA-accredited schools, depending on the rules of the school accepting the credits for transfer.
Auditors. In addition to the registration form, auditors must complete an audit application, which is available from the registrar’s office or online at Audit Form (PDF). Contact Brooke Mill at 503-768-6614, bmill@lclark.edu, or the address listed on the registration form. Attorneys and others interested in summer courses may audit a course with the consent of the instructor. Auditors who wish to receive a certificate of course completion must pass the final exam. A student may also audit a course without taking the final exam. All auditors should request an audit application from the registrar and submit it with the summer school application. CLE credit may be available for attorneys. No Lewis & Clark credit is granted to auditors.
Deadlines
It is best to register for summer classes as soon as possible to guarantee a seat. However, applications for all courses may be accepted up to the first day of class if space is available. Some summer classes do fill up.
Indian Law Classes: See Indian Law Classes, for scholarship deadline information.
