Tuition and Payment

Tuition

Summer 2012 tuition is $1388 per semester hour.  This amount is subject to approval by the Lewis & Clark board of trustees, and should be finalized in February 2012.  Should the amount change as a result of board action in February, you will be notified immediately.

Tuition is charged per semester-hour, with rates based on status as a law student, auditor receiving a certificate, auditor not receiving a certificate, alumni status, and government or non-profit employee status. Auditors not receiving a certificate, alumni, and government or non-profit employees receive tuition discounts.  Check with the registrar for specific amounts. 

Tuition and fees for the Legal Ecology field class, which includes lodging, meals, and round-trip van transportation between Portland and the field station, will be determined in Spring 2012, and posted as soon as available.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available. Students should apply for aid as early as possible in the spring semester. Special rules apply to the distribution of summer school aid. Lewis & Clark students should contact Diana Meyer, assistant director of student financial services, at 503-768-7097 or meyer@lclark.edu.Visiting students should contact the financial aid office at their home school.

No financial aid is available for auditing students.

Students enrolled in the Summer Indian Law Program are eligible for scholarship assistance. Please visit the Indian Law site for more information.

Deposits

Visiting students and auditors must submit a $150 nonrefundable deposit with their registration.
