Purpose

The Business Law Society promotes social and academic interaction among Lewis & Clark Law School students interested in the various aspects of business, corporate and financial law. The BLS provides a forum for students to share ideas and further explore and educate themselves in the area of business related law. The BLS sponsors social activities, speakers, panel discussions, and other sponsored events that encourage cultural exchange and academic discussion, and generally provides a forum through which members may pursue their interests in developing a career in business law. Our goal is to enhance the legal education of our members and promote an inter-disciplinary curriculum in business, corporate and financial law that builds upon the resources of Lewis & Clark Law School and provide students with unique opportunities to interact with various legal practitioners in the community, faculty and staff, and local corporate counsel.
