  • MOVING PLANET RIDE and HAPPY HOUR!

    11:30am Join CATS for a bike ride to a Moving Planet event hosted by Climate Action Now.  Learn about climate change, alternative energy, and citizen involvement groups you can join through speakers, exhibits, and information stations. Bike ride meet-ups start at 11:30am, and we’ll head to the Moving Planet event at Rose Quarter Commons from 12-3:00pm. After, join us for a Happy Hour at White Eagle at 3:30pm with the Environmental Justice Advocates.

    All Day MUSHABOOM 2011! 

    Join ELC for the annual mushroom hunt October 14-16 in Mount Hood National Forest! Music, food, drink, MUSHROOMS, and good friends. 


    Sign up on ELC’s office door (outside of Classroom 1). Tabling in October for payment ($50 for both nights; $30 for either Friday or Saturday night; or $20 for just Saturday daytime).

    All Day Join us for an exciting conference starring the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918!  Find out from national experts how the MBTA protects birds.  Can it protect them from 21st-century hazards like climate change and habitat disruption or does it needs some updating?  The opening day of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act provides a morning field trip to view bird habitat and an afternoon special session on the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.

    5:30pm You’ll need a study break!  We have good people, delicious food, stimulating conversation and refreshments to help you relax!

    Join EJA, NLG, BLSA, NALSA, Latino Law Society, and MLSA in a potluck dinner event held in the offices of Portland’s only Environmental Justice non-profit, OPAL (Organizing People, Activating Leaders).   Learn more about OPAL’s work, EJA’s work, meet staff and community volunteers, and take a study break with other student organizations.
