Come learn more about the career of Judge Thelton Henderson - Judge Henderson was one of the first African-American federal judges in the United States and throughout his career demonstrated commitment to integrity and human rights and became a profound influence on the American judicial system.

Thelton Henderson was appointed to federal judge by President Jimmy Carter in 1980. The film follows his life and career, including three cases in particular: (1) the inhumane conditions at Pelican Bay State Prison, (2) to the slaughter of dolphins by tuna-fishing fleets (the establishment of dolphin-safe tuna), (3) the elimination of affirmative action in California.
