A Message from the Provost Office:
Dear Students and Colleagues,
This Sunday, May 6, the College of Arts & Sciences will hold its 140th Annual Commencement at 10am, in Griswold Stadium or Pamplin Sports Center, if the weather is inclement.
The graduating class this year is over 450, the largest in a number of years. As you can imagine, the campus will face a very challenging morning and early afternoon with parking and transportation for all of the Commencement guests.
We’ve added extra shuttles from/to downtown, and the Pioneer Express and Tri-Met will also be running their regular schedules. We will also be running an on-campus shuttle among various lots, including lots at the Graduate School, Law School, Huston Field, and Riverdale High School.
Should you need to come to the Law or Graduate campuses on Sunday in the morning or early afternoon, I request that you do so by alternate means of transportation. Or, if at all possible, you may wish to delay your arrival on campus until 2pm or after.
For further information about the College of Arts & Sciences Commencement, please consult the CAS Commencement web site.
Thank you very much for your understanding and assistance this Sunday.
Sincerely,
Jane
