Class Registration Policies
The Registrar’s web pages host information related to all things having to do with registration, including class registration policies. After the first year, students register themselves for subsequent classes. Registration is usually in late Spring and will be for the following Fall and Spring semesters.
Grading, Academic Achievement, Probation, Dismissal
The Law School’s grading system uses an A+ to F scale for graded classes. Ungraded classes may be on a credit/no credit scale, or a honors pass/high pass/pass/no pass scale. Full details are published on the Registrar’s Grading, Academic Achievement, Probation, Dismissal web page.
Each instructor determines if a course will require a written examination at the end of the semester. An examination may be either scheduled or unscheduled. At the time of registration, the Registrar’s office makes available information on examinations for all courses offered the next year.
Because the examination schedule is available at the time students register, each student is responsible for his/her examination schedule. Students must make sure they are not scheduled for two exams at the same time as the Registrar’s Office does not check this.
Detailed instructions and policies regarding exams are published on the Registrar’s Exam Policies web page.
