Fall Forum on Intellectual Property

IP scholars from across the nation participated in The Procedure of IP, a one-day forum that discussed the various ways in which the laws of civil procedure and intellectual property intersect.
Speakers covered topics such as preclusion in the context of administrative proceedings, the territorial scope of IP claims and remedies generally, equitable estoppel within copyright cases, and jury instructions, the standards for infringement, and burdens of proof in copyright cases.
Presenters included Tomás Gómez-Arostegui, Lewis & Clark’s Kay Kitagawa and Andy Johnson-Laird IP Faculty Scholar, and Lydia Loren, Lewis & Clark’s Henry J. Casey Professor, in addition to to IP scholars from Vanderbilt Law School, NYU School of Law, UC Berkeley School of Law, and University of Washington School of Law.
