NCVLI Writes the Next Chapter for NCVRW 2020
It’s that time of the year again: National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW)! Each April since 1981, the federal Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) has designated a “National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.” The purpose of NCVRW is to increase awareness of victims’ rights, honor crime victims, and aid those who advocate on their behalf.
This year, on April 19-25 all across the country we come together to focus on victims’ rights. The national theme for the week is “Seek Justice | Ensure Victims’ Rights | Inspire Hope”. For us at NCVLI we are adding to the theme | Look Forward. As the only national legal organization focused on crime victims’ rights enforcement, we are excited to invite you to join us over the week as we Write the Next Chapter of Victims’ Rights. During this week NCVLI will be celebrating 20 years of victims’ rights litigation and legislation, identifying ways to protect victims’ rights in these uncertain times, and together look toward the horizon. We will send one email each day of NCVRW with an easy way to join us in writing the next chapter of victims’ rights.
