I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Clackamas County Counsel this past summer as a PILP award recipient. As a first-generation American and an Oregon native, I wanted to give back to the community I grew up in. Local government has been my focus since I entered law school. As I am also interested in civil matters, County Counsel was a perfect fit. Every attorney in the office was welcoming and eager to show what they do on a daily basis. From touring the County Jail facilities to representing the County in civil matters as a certified law student, getting to spend the summer here was a wonderful experience in learning what County Counsel attorneys do on a daily basis. From employment law, to land use, I feel as though I got to do a bit of everything this summer. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I have agreed to stay on as an extern through the fall semester. Thank you PILP!
