SBLC in the Community - 2014

• January 6th, the SBLC spoke at Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) about the basics in entity selection, employment law and intellectual property.
• On April 30th, the SBLC spoke to attendees of the Govenor’s Marketplace in Salem Oregon on legal issues facing start-up businesses. 
• On May 8th, the SBLC attended the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) Tradeshow.
• On June 24th, Interns presented to small business owners on entity selection, intellectual property and nonprofit legal questions at the SBLC.
• Professor Susan Felstiner spoke at various locations in Colombia while an an exchange trip in August 2014, providing information about the clinic and working with small business clients in the United States.
• On September 23, 2014, The SBLC attended the St. John’s Business Fair. 

• The SBLC spoke at Hacienda on business formation in Spanish at Hacienda CDC on October 8th.
• The SBLC presented about business entity selection and formation at Verde on October 14th.
• The SBLC interns presented to start-up businesses on October 29th. We will have another presentation in March. 

SBLC in the Community - 2013

• On April 17th, the SBLC spoke to attendees of the Governor’s Marketplace in Salem, Oregon on fundamental legal issues for small businesses. The SBLC participated in a Spanish business resource panel.
• On May 9th, the SBLC attended the annual Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) Tradeshow.
• On May 30th, the SBLC attended the N/NE Economic Development Summit.
• On June 12th, the SBLC presented at the Farmworker Housing Conference in Bend, Oregon.
• On June 21st, the SBLC presented on cooperatives at the Rural Development Initiatives conference in Corvallis, Oregon.
• On September 12, the SBLC presented at the Fresh Starts Conference for food cooperatives in Portland, Oregon.
• On October 9th,  the SBLC spoke to attendees of the Governor’s Traveling Marketplace in Oregon City, Oregon.
• November 1st, the SBLC presented on employment law issues faced by nonprofit corporations at the Washington County Nonprofit Network meeting in Hillsboro, Oregon.
• November 13th, the SBLC presented at the Governor’s Traveling Marketplace in Woodburn, Oregon (Spanish language focus).
