      Chuck D. Barlow LLM ’95, vice president of environmental strategy and policy of Entergy Corporation, was named Lawyer of the Year by Mississippi College School of Law.

      Was named the 2013 Distinguished Business Law Graduate by Lewis & Clark. Chen is a patent attorney and cofounder of Chen Yoshimura, L.L.P., in Los Angeles, California.

      Joined Lathrop & Gage’s energy practice team in Denver as of counsel. Experienced in oil and gas title examination and litigation, Clark previously was with Fox Rothschild. Prior to that, she was an oil and gas title examination and transactional attorney and litigator at a full-service law firm. Clark has also reviewed and drafted various transactional documents ranging from oil and gas leases, ratifications, and extensions to seismic agreements and mineral deeds.

      Was appointed acting insurance commissioner of Nevada. Parks has 11 years with the Nevada Division of Insurance, and this is her second term as acting commissioner. She has served as chief insurance counsel and hearing officer for the division since 2009, and insurance counsel and hearing officer since 2004.

      Performed at the Lincoln City Cultural Center in Lincoln City, Oregon, with the Pacific Trombone Quartet. Scholl plays principal trombone in the Portland Columbia Symphony, the Vancouver Symphony, and the Newport Symphony Orchestras. He also plays in the Portland Brass Quintet and with the Michael Vlatkovich Trio. Scholl is the director of Metro Public Defender in Hillsboro, Oregon.

      Received the Alaska Bar Association Board of Governor’s Judge Nora Guinn Award at the 2014 Bar Convention. The award recognizes extraordinary and sustained efforts to assist Alaska’s rural residents, especially its Native population, in overcoming language and cultural barriers to obtaining justice through the legal system. Voluck is the first tribal judge to receive the award. The Alaska Bar Association cited his 20 years serving the state’s Native people as tribal judge, Indian law professor, author, and special counsel. Voluck presently sits as trial judge for the Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Sitka Tribe of Alaska, and Aleut Community of St. Paul Island, and is an adjunct professor for the law school’s Indian Law Program.

      Released Alaska Natives and American Laws, Third Edition, a treatise coauthored with David Case. Voluck sits as chief judge to the Sitka Tribe of Alaska, magistrate/judge to the Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, and judge pro tem for the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island Tribal Government. He is also an adjunct professor with Lewis & Clark’s summer Indian Law Program.
