In Person Ceremony Schedule & Instructions

Guest Registration: We are required to collect the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of each guest for contact tracing purposes. Register guest information here

Arrival/parking: Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your session is scheduled to begin (e.g., if your session starts at 2:30 pm, please do not arrive/exit your car before 2:25 pm). Parking will be available at the Law School and in the Griswold parking lot. Parking permits will not be required. Everyone must wear a face mask, other than when eating or drinking– please put on your masks before exiting your vehicles.

Check-in: Check-in at the Sunderland Pavilion, which is located just above the amphitheater, between the McCarty classroom complex and the Legal Research Center. All attendees will be required to show proof of COVID19 vaccination (card or photo of card) or a copy of your negative covid test (within 72 hours of the event).  We will be checking cards/photos as you enter the law school campus.

Expectations of attendees: We are very happy we can finally provide an in-person opportunity to celebrate this accomplishment. That said, there are certain things we will all – even those who have been COVID-19 vaccinated - have to do to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable during the in-person ceremonies. Specifically, we will all be expected to:

  • Wear masks – Everyone must wear masks from the time they exit their vehicles until they return to their vehicles after the ceremony, except when they are eating or drinking.
  • Stay home if ill - if you or one of your guests is not feeling well, please stay home.
  • Distance – maintain a reasonable amount of distance between anyone outside your guest group.
  • Use only designated restrooms – use only the restrooms in the Lower Lounge in the Legal Research Center or Gantenbein.

Family Pets: We adore our dogs, cats, and other pets, but we kindly request that you leave your family pets at home the day of the commencement ceremony
