Oregon Pleading and Practice
This course examines the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure (ORCP) with a focus on key differences between the ORCP and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Students will learn the art and skill of litigating a civil action in Oregon state court before trial. Students will examine the rules from both plaintiff and defense perspectives and thereby gain an understanding of the relative benefits and burdens of maintaining an action in Oregon state court.
Course grade will be based on in-class participation, writing assignments, and final examination.
