Africa Animal Law Convention
Date: September 4 Location: United Nations Environment, Nairobi Kenya
United Nations Environment, Nairobi Kenya
Natasha Dolezal, director of International Animal Law, is excited to announce the first animal law focused convention in Africa. The Africa Animal Law Convention is made possible through donor funds supporting the development of the field of animal law and education worldwide. Years in the making, Natasha has been working in collaboration with the Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW), Riara University, and all of our LLM alums from Africa on organizing this two day event. The focus is to expose and excite local law school students, lawyers, faculty, and others to issues in animal law and the growing field. Embedding the convention within the larger Africa Animal Welfare Conference allows us to reach a larger and more diverse audience.
The event is open to law students, lawyers, professors, and professionals, and will provide an opportunity to learn about the field, network with others in the animal/wildlife protection community, as well as be a part of the effort to grow animal law and legal education.
