Justin C. Sawyer ’01, a partner in the litigation department, joined Miller Nash in 2001. Sawyer is a member of the firm’s business litigation practice group where he focuses on corporate governance and shareholder disputes, securities litigation, construction litigation, breach of contract and tort litigation, and disputes involving noncompetition agreements and intellectual property rights. Chair of the firm’s pro bono committee, he also handles a variety of pro bono matters.
Sawyer serves on the board of directors for Oregon Mentors, a business-led nonprofit organization that supports mentoring programs throughout the state of Oregon. He also co-chairs a service committee for Self Enhancement, Inc., a Portland community organization dedicated to providing educational and personal services to underserved youth. In addition, he mentors law students of the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.
Sawyer enjoys soccer, skiing, hiking, fishing, and playing golf, as well as art and music.
